In the competitive rental industry, providing top-notch equipment that meets diverse customer needs is crucial. The Air-tow trailer is one standout option that rental businesses should consider adding to their fleets. These innovative trailers offer numerous benefits, making them an ideal choice for rental companies. Here’s a closer look at why Air-tow trailers are perfect for the rental industry.

 Safety and Convenience

Safety is a top priority in any rental business, and Air-tow trailers excel in this area. Air-tow’s unique ground-level loading design eliminates the need for ramps, significantly reducing the risk of accidents during loading and unloading. This feature enhances safety and makes the process more convenient and faster, a win-win for both rental companies and their customers.

 Versatility

Air-tow trailers are incredibly versatile and capable of handling various applications. Whether your customers need to transport vehicles, equipment, or materials, these trailers can do it all. Their versatility makes them a valuable addition to any rental [...]

Air-tow Trailers offer customers a choice between rubber and air suspension systems. Both options excel in ensuring cargo safety and reducing strain on the trailer frame, but they cater to different needs and preferences. Understanding the benefits of each can help you make an informed decision on which to choose.

Rubber Suspension

For over two decades, Air-tow has relied on the durability and performance of rubber suspension systems. These systems utilize floating axles mounted in heavy-duty roller bearings. One of the distinctive features of rubber suspension is its ability to adjust stiffness based on the pressure applied. As more pressure is exerted, the suspension stiffens, effectively handling severe shock loads even at maximum capacity. This characteristic significantly minimizes the force transmitted to the trailer frame and the cargo, ensuring a smoother ride.

Compared to traditional leaf springs, rubber suspension stands out due to its smooth ride quality and lack of wearing components. Air-tow backs its rubber [...]

Air-tow’s commitment to creating a safe work environment is evident in the trailers’ construction. Beyond standard safety components such as a breakaway switch, steel deck, and tie-downs, Air-tow trailers are equipped with additional features that make them safer than the average trailer. Air-tow deliberately designs each model to reduce hazards with unique and enhanced trailer features. Here are five additional safety features that Air-tow Trailers provide as a standard for all models.

 Ground-Level Loading

Traditional trailers often require ramps for loading and unloading, which can cause potential risk. Ramps pose the danger of equipment slipping or tipping over during loading, leading to possible injuries or damages. Air-tow Trailers eliminate this risk by offering ground-level loading, allowing for safe and easy loading and unloading. Ground-level loading is accomplished by a hydraulic system that enables the bed to be lowered flush to ground level when loading and unloading and raised when towing.

It’s important to frequently inspect and service your trailer to maintain its quality and longevity. A recommended maintenance schedule is provided on page 35 of the Air-tow Trailer owner’s manual.  Tires

Proper tire pressure: Maintain the correct pressure to avoid premature wear and ensure optimal performance. Over-inflation can cause center wear, while under-inflation leads to edge wear. Check your tire pressure regularly.

Wheel Balance: Ensure proper wheel balance to prevent cupping wear patterns. Incorrect toe-in can cause toe wear, indicating the need for alignment.

Avoid Overloading: Be sure your load does not exceed the axle rating to prevent side [...]

In the realm of trailer solutions, efficiency and ease of use are key factors that can make or break a towing experience. When choosing the right trailer for your needs, the debate often centers around ground-level loading versus tilt bed trailers. Both options are preferable over the standard trailer for loading heavy equipment.

What are Tilt Bed Trailers?

Tilt bed trailers, also known as tilt deck trailers or tilting utility trailers, are a type of trailer with a platform that tilts to an angle, making loading and unloading heavy equipment easier. The deck tilts to act as a ramp, eliminating the need for additional loading equipment.

What are Ground-Level Loading Trailers?

Ground-level loading trailers have a deck that completely lowers to the ground. This technology enables a more stable and reliable loading experience compared to tilt trailers. With their ground-level loading technology, Air-tow Trailers surpasses traditional tilt bed trailers in terms of convenience, safety, and [...]
