Efficient and safe loading is critical in many industries. Whether in construction, landscaping, or electrical, loading and unloading equipment with safety and ease can make a huge difference in operations. Ground-level loading technology has revolutionized the trailer industry, offering numerous benefits over traditional ramp-based trailers.

 What is Ground-Level Loading?

Ground-level loading refers to the ability of a trailer to lower its deck completely to the ground for loading and unloading, eliminating the need for ramps or elevated platforms. Once the equipment or cargo is loaded, the trailer raises the deck back to its transport height. Trailers like Air-tow utilize this innovative design to streamline the entire process.

Key Benefits of Ground-Level Loading 1. Safety First

One of the biggest advantages of ground-level loading is its enhanced safety. Ramps can be dangerous, particularly when wet, icy, or damaged. Ground-level loading dramatically reduces the risk of accidents due to slipping, tipping, or incorrect positioning. Workers can simply walk or drive [...]

HOW DOES IT WORK ?

Air-tow’s Ground-Level Loading Technology uses a unique hydraulic system to lower the entire deck of the trailer flat to the ground, providing a smooth and level surface for loading and unloading equipment. It is activated with a push of a button. The deck has a safety latch too.

EASE:Air-tow Trailers redefines the towing experience with their ground-level loading technology, eliminating the need for inconvenient tilting mechanisms or dangerous ramps. Loading and unloading heavy equipment becomes straightforward, saving valuable time and effort. Tilting beds and ramps can be challenging to keep stable, while Air-tow offers a hassle-free experience from start to finish. With the whole deck lowering to ground level, lo [...]

When it comes to transporting heavy equipment like scissor lifts, sweepers, and pavement rollers, reliability, and ease of use are essential. Air-tow’s single-axle trailers are designed with these needs in mind, offering versatile solutions that make equipment transport smooth and efficient. Available in both flatbed and utility styles, these trailers are perfect for a variety of industries.

Single-axle trailers often prove to be the better choice for urban environments and areas with strict vehicle regulations. Their smaller size and weight make them more maneuverable on crowded streets and easier to park. Many cities have specific restrictions on dual-axle trailers, such as size limits or bans during peak traffic hours. A single-axle trailer offers greater flexibility and convenience for those navigating complex urban landscapes.

 Flatbed Models:
  • S8-35: This model offers a deck size of 8 feet long, 52” wide, and a load capacity of 3,500 lbs, making it ideal for smaller equipment like scissor lifts.

  • SN10-55: [...]

One important but often overlooked factor when it comes to towing trailers is trailer tongue weight. This seemingly minor detail plays a large role in safety, stability, and overall performance while on the road. Let’s explore why trailer tongue weight matters and how it impacts your towing experience.

 What is Trailer Tongue Weight?

Trailer tongue weight refers to the downward force exerted on the hitch ball by the trailer coupler. It’s essentially the weight the trailer places on the tow vehicle’s hitch. This weight is crucial because it affects how the trailer behaves during towing, particularly regarding stability and control.

 Importance of Proper Tongue Weight:

1. Stability and Control: Adequate tongue weight helps maintain stability while towing. It ensures that the trailer tracks behind the vehicle smoothly without swaying or fishtailing. Insufficient tongue weight can lead to instability, especially at higher speeds or in windy conditions, making the trailer harder to control.

2. Safe Handling: Proper tongue weight distribution [...]

The Dock Height trailer is a durable and versatile trailer solution. Similarly to all Air-tow Trailer models, the DH-10 lowers flush to the ground, enabling ground-level loading. Unlike the other models, the DH-10 can also provide dock height solutions. The one-of-a-kind Air-tow Drop-Deck and Dock Height trailer raises 5 feet (60”) high, allowing users to load and unload their equipment or materials at dock height. The trailer has an easy-to-use hydraulic system that lowers and raises the height of the bed. The bed will raise or lower with the push of a button on the remote control conveniently located in the power compartment. The deck is 3/16” diamond-cut steel plate. The steel is thicker than average trailers, ensuring it will not warp over time. The trailer weighs 5,700 lbs. with an 8,000 lbs. towing capacity, equivalating to a GVWR of 13,700 lbs. The DH-10 is the ideal trailer for those who frequently travel between a [...]
